2014 Suzuki Alto Spotted During Testing --AutosExpress

2014 Suzuki Alto Spotted During Testing --AutosExpress.The passenger compartment remained stable in the frontal impact. Structures in the dashboard presented a risk of injury to the knees and femurs of both the driver and passenger. Dummy readings indicated marginal protection of the driver's lower legs. Side impact airbags are optional on some variants of the Alto. The current model was launched in 2008 so time has come for a replacement which will be based on the latest WagonR that came out in Japan last year. The car is expected to grow in size compared to the outgoing model and should gain additional equipment inside the cabin. We'd avoid the range-topping SZ4. It comes with lots of standard kit, but there are much better city cars if you're prepared to spend this sort of money.

The front edge of the bonnet scored no points for the protection it offers to pedestrians' legs. The protection offered by the bumper was marginal. Poor protection was provided by the bonnet in most areas likely to be struck by the head of an adult or a child.Depending on market, the Suzuki Alto is also sold as the Celerio, Nissan Pixo and as a Maruti Suzuki A-Star. These prototypes were seen testing somewhere in the south European mountains and in some of the photos we take a look at the rather modest 90s-like interior cabin.

2013 Suzuki Kizashi Reviews And Ratings

We all know the trouble Suzuki has been having as of late: no longer available in the US, dwindling sales and a disappearing presence on the market. It’s not that Suzuki make horrible cars out of cardboard, just that they’ve not made one worth any sort of mass recognition in the recent past. Suzuki is exiting the auto business here after 2014 and “realigning” its Canadian retail operations to concentrate on motorcycle, ATV and marine sales. News like that is bound to depress Suzuki’s residual values and this should prove a godsend to used-car shoppers.it had previously sold the short-lived, Daewoo-built Verona mid-size sedan from 2004-2006—but it's the first sedan this size to be designed and built by Suzuki itself. With mid-size sedans becoming somewhat longer and larger, the Kizashi ends up competing most directly against larger compact-sedan models like the Volkswagen Jetta, Chevrolet Cruze, and Ford Focus in the current market.

The 2013 Suzuki Kizashi is without question the most underrated and overlooked midsize sedan out this year. Sadly, it's a great car tied to a dead automotive brand, since Suzuki has elected to quit doing business as a car company in the U.S.But it’s round the back of the 2013 Suzuki Kizashi that I really start to like this thing. Maybe it’s the oversized, geometrical, chrome-tipped exhaust covers integrated into the rear bumper, or the upturned tail with a subtle decklid spoiler that gets me, but the sporty nature of the Kizashi’s rear is quite appealing.Research the latest Suzuki Kizashi body styles, read detailed model specifications and features, compare with other models, and locate Suzuki dealerships near you where you can purchase your next vehicle.

The four-door sedan cast a smaller shadow compared to mid-sizers such as the Honda Accord and Nissan Altima. The previous-generation Volkswagen Jetta is a good reference point, since the Suzuki does a good impression of a European sedan in its driving character. In straight-line performance, the Kizashi won't quite be mistaken for a sport sedan, however. The 185-horsepower (180 with the continuously variable automatic), 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine is gutsy, and provides pretty satisfying performance with the six-speed manual gearbox. The CV automatic can bring out the boomy nature in the engine and ramps down the excitement level—unfortunately it's the only way to get the Kizashi with all-wheel drive, if that's a must—but you get access to six simulated ratios through steering-wheel paddle-shifters on all but the base S.

Inside, the oxymoronic experience continues. On the one hand, it’s quite a sophisticated cabin: the 2013 Suzuki Kizashi Sport iAWD features a 6.1” colour touchscreen with Garmin nav and voice-activated commands. HVAC knobs have a solid feel to them when turned and the steering-wheel buttons are both practical and well-placed. And I quite like the futuristic sweep of chrome accent across the dash. Power is supplied by the all-aluminum DOHC 2.4 L four cylinder pinched from the Grand Vitara sport-ute, yielding 180 horses and 170 lbs.-ft. of torque. It works through a Jatco-supplied continuously variable (CVT) automatic transmission, driving the front or all four wheels.

Suzuki's swapped the ladder frame architecture of the past to create a more civilized XL7, a welcome change from the Vitara roots of the original. The XL7's unitized Theta II platform, on loan from General Motors, also serves as the basis for the Chevrolet Equinox and Pontiac Torrent. Suzuki also borrows the General's 3.6 liter V6, trying its very best in this application.Based on the Grand Vitara, the stretched XL-7 features three rows of seats and room inside for seven passengers. Power comes from a 170-horsepower, double-overhead-cam, 2.7-liter V-6. Both rear- and four-wheel-drive versions will be offered.

AutosExpress has made it easy to find the perfect New 2014 Suzuki XL7. Refine your search for New 2014 Suzuki XL7 in New Jersey by browsing by year, price, model and mileage. NJ.com has thousands of New Suzuki cars listings, you're sure to find the exact car you are looking to purchase. From behind the wheel the impression is weighty, but the XL7 isn't the road crusher you might think. Weighing between 3,800 and 4,100 pounds is certainly substantial, but not very porcine when considering the space the XL7 offers. Acceleration is plenty quick, Consumer Reports managed to sprint one through the quarter mile in 16 seconds flat, and they found 60 mph in 7.7 seconds. Corvettes were once slower than the XL7, though it doesn't leave the impression of a scorching drag racer. GM's V6 (built by Suzuki in Japan in this case) is willing to spin out to redline with a smooth metallic caterwaul, and the 252 horsepower it delivers works hard. We tried a two wheel drive XL7, so assume that the AWD version gives up some speed. Geared tall for fuel economy, the 2.54:1 final drive teams with a five-speed automatic for serenity at speed. Time was, 250 horsepower was more than adequate for 4,000 pounds, anyway. The steering is weighted nearly perfectly, if devoid of feedback, and the XL7 drives with solid composure. The mission of this vehicle doesn't require constant updates from the contact patches, anyway.

Suzuki SX4 2014 - Suzuki-Sx4-2014 AutosExpress

Suzuki SX4 2014 - Suzuki-Sx4-2014 AutosExpress.Suzuki Motor Corporation has unveiled its all-new SX4 Crossover at the 2013 Geneva International Motor Show. The new Suzuki SX4 Crossover is a production model based on the S-Cross, which Suzuki showcased at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.Seen in its final production outfit at this year's Geneva Motor Show in March, the new generation of the Suzuki SX4 has a couple of months before it begins arriving in showrooms across Europe in late September, so the Japanese company is freshening up our memory with a new collection of photos and the release of output and fuel economy figures.

Designed to compete with C-segment vehicles such as the new Nissan Qashqai, the Suzuki SX4 will arrive with two 1.6-liter engines, a petrol one rated at 120 HP and 156 Nm, and a Fiat-sourced diesel unit delivering 120 HP and 320 Nm of torque. The main difference of the new Suzuki SX4 compared to the previous model is reflected in the dimensions of the vehicle. The new crossover is much longer and now measures 4.3 meters. By increasing the wheelbase, interior space is increased , especially the rear of the car. It is  also corrected,  the lack of previous generation, which was related to the size of the luggage compartment. 430l trunk volume, we can agree that it is quite enough for a family car, and more than satisfactory compared to 270l, as a precursor. The current SX4 is only available with a 2.0-litre petrol engine which uses a minimum of 7.3L/100km.

Maruti Suzuki has been working on its all-new SX4 for quite some time now and the production-ready prototypes are already out for the first phase of homologation. In fact, our friends at Team BHP have even managed to get photographs of the test mules. The design is a major departure from what the SX4 has worn so far. It takes most of the design cues from the AuthenticS Concept that Suzuki had showcased a few days back.Suzuki created the new Suzuki SX4 Crossover by uniting its compact car know-how with technologies honed for sport utility vehicles. As a result of focussing on giving the new SX4 Crossover distinctive crossover styling, class leading space for passengers and luggage, next generation 4WD performance and one of the lowest CO2 emissions in the segment, it achieves a remarkable combination of styling, utility, performance and fuel economy.

The first powerplant is a 1.6-liter turbo-diesel rated for 118hp (120PS) and 320Nm (236 lb-ft) of peak torque connected to a 6-speed manual and standard start-stop system returning 4.2 l/100km (56.0 mpg US or 67.3 mpg UK) and 110 g / km of CO2 emissions in the combined test cycle.2014 Suzuki SX4 will be offered with two powertrains. The first is aspirated 1.6L petrol engine with 120hp and 156 Nm of torque. Engine power is transferred to the wheels via five-speed manual transmission. As an option for this engine will be available CVT automatic transmission, with a seven-speed manual transmission. Average fuel consumption of the new Suzuki with petrol engine  amount, 5.4l/100km. Another engine that company Suzuki offers for the model 2014 SX4, is a 1.6L turbo diesel engine also 120hp but a double major, a torque of 320Nm. The new model is bigger in all dimensions - 160 millimetres longer, 10mm wider and 10mm taller with a wheelbase that has been stretched  by 100mm - which should allow it to better rival roomier competitors.

Suzuki SX4 2014 - Suzuki-Sx4-2014 AutosExpress,2014 Suzuki SX4 Compact Crossover - YouTube

The new SX4 will come with a push-button starter (keyless go) like the Nissan Sunny.A micro-hybrid system with brake-energy regeneration has also been evaluated for the new SX4 and could be incorporated on the range-topping version. The new SX4 will be lighter than the outgoing model and will sit on a shorter ground clearance. The contours of the instrument panel overlap the doors and the soft padding is pleasant to touch. The seats are shaped and stitched to convey a sense of sophistication, while the silver decorations create a sporty look against the black interior. But judging by the prices of competitors in the current class, the price could range around $25,000 for a model with basic equipment package.
