BMW Z4
The BMW Z4 is a rear-wheel drive sports car by the German car maker BMW. It follows a line of past BMW roadsters such as the BMW Z1, BMW 507, BMW Z8, and the BMW Z3. The Z4 replaces the Z3. First generation production started in 2002 at BMW USA's Greer, South Carolina plant, with production of both roadster and coupe forms. When debuted, it won Automobile Magazine "Design of the Year Award". Starting with the 2009 model year, the second-generation Z4 is built at BMW's Regensburg, Germany plant as a retractable hardtop roadster. In 2009, the BMW Z4 won the Red Dot Design Award. by: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_Z4. The original BMW Z4, introduced for 2003, wasn't that much larger than the Z3 but it was much more refined and luxurious—and it made a tremendous leap, design-wise, graduating from British roadster disciple to something much more complex, inside and out. Originally the Z4 was sold in 2.5i and 3.0i variants, with 184 horsepower and 225 hp respectively, but a mid-cycle update in 2006 brought more powerful engines.bmw z4.....

Leaving behind the scary thought of just who pays £44,220 for a two-seater toy, albeit one with a muscular 3.0-litre in-line six and state-of-the-art, seven-speed, bmw z4twin-clutch transmission, we can only gasp at the price of the options on this model. These include a £210 wind deflector, £320 voice control, £285 heated seats, £605 park-distance control, £2,185 navigation and multimedia pack, £120 high-beam assist, £195 folding door mirrors, £160 extended storage, £610 connectivity package and a £520 comfort access package. But does the new 2.0 liter four deliver the same driving experience as its predecessor? Does it impress with its turbo-specific growl? More on that in our upcoming test drive of the 2012 BMW Z4 sDrive28i.For now, enjoy the beautiful photo gallery from Pacific Coast Highway.bmw z4The art work is the main theme for the marketing campaign supporting the launch of the new BMW Z4 Roadster, which engages a full range of channels including print and television advertising, guerilla marketing, point of sale packs, window stickers, flags, event invitations and even lifestyle merchandising. The BMW roadster has come a long way since the Z1 back in the 80s. That was short and angular, not at all what a roadster should be, and it featured strange retractable doors. bmw z4

2013 BMW Z4 Reviews and Ratings,2013 BMW Z4 Reviews As I repeatedly pressed the convertible button without success, I suddenly no longer felt like a dudemeister in a roadster. I felt like a nerd in a dud. I had a strong suspicion that it was me, not the car. But happily no one knew I was incapable of performing the defining function of driving a convertible. Indeed, I imagine few onlookers even realised it was a convertible.bmw z4 There’s also that name, BMW Z4 sDrive 35is, which even BMW admits hardly trips off the tongue like MGB, MX-5, TR4 or E-type. The cabin is smart in an austere BMW mien. So everything fits beautifully, is elegant to the sight, pleasant to the touch and strangely bloodless as if it’s been designed by a computer given a set of “sportiness” parameters. Like the Z4′s last TwinPower Turbo 3.0-liter turbo inline-6, the new 2.0-liter engine will combine highpressure direct-injection and BMW’s VALVETRONIC intake control. With 240 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque,The new BMW Z4 was recently unveiled at the 2009 Detroit Motor Show and will arrive in the Middle East in April 2009.bmw z4 It has met with rave reviews across the globe with many critics hailing it as a work of art as well as a triumph of engineering. Featuring a new 6-cylinder engine, double-clutch gearbox and BMW M suspension with two damper settings, the new Z4 delivers a sportier yet harmoniously tuned driving experience.bmw z4

it's a very solid ride, almost heavy. Most of the weight goes into comfort, the pleasing and secure sense of a substantial piece of machinery – you wouldn't, for example, want to find your hand in the way of a swinging door. The transmission is simple to use, direct and accurate, but again lacks passion. It also kicks down violently, sending the revs soaring, which is disconcerting and occasionally dangerous, when overtaking animals for example. The 4-cylinder engine with its all-aluminum crankcase is lighter and more compact than a 6-cylinder engine of equivalent power. The turbocharger is a twin-scroll system. The exhaust streams leaving the two pairs of cylinders are kept completely separate as they flow through the exhaust manifold and the turbocharger, taking a spiral path to the turbine wheel.bmw z4

bmw z4 2011,bmw z4 2011 reviewCombining classic proportions with modern sportiness, the new BMW Z4 has reached the top of its market segment almost overnight. BMW Z4 2011And now this charismatic roadster is entering a new dimension in driving dynamics, the new BMW Z4 sDrive35is offering an even higher standard of performance ensured both by the modified straight-six power unit with BMW Twin Turbo Technology and High Precision Injection, on the one hand, and by BMW's seven-speed Sport Automatic with double clutch operation and the M Sports Package including the adaptive M Suspension likewise featured as standard, on the other.BMW Z4 2011 Appropriate optimisation in engine technology increases maximum output of the 3.0-litre power unit to 250 kW/340 hp. Peak torque is 450 Newton-metres/332 lb-ft, increasing briefly with the Overboost function to 500 Newton-metres/369 lb-ft.BMW is now ready to admit as much, apparently, and has given the engine better intake breathing and higher boost pressure for new output of 335 hp at 5900 rpm and 332 lb-ft from 1500 rpm, with overboost providing quick bursts of 369 lb-ft. A specifically tuned exhaust system is promised to provide a “deep rumble with a focus on the low-frequency sound range.”BMW Z4 2011Through their concept alone, the turbochargers likewise help to reduce fuel consumption. Since the turbines are made of special steel particularly resistant to high temperatures and therefore able to cope with temperatures of more than 1,000° C or 1,830° F, there is no need for an increased fuel supply with its cooling effect. Particularly under full load, this ensures a significant advantagein fuel economy.BMW Z4 2011

The seven-speed Sport Automatic with double clutch operation featured in the BMW Z4 sDrive35is likewise offers the very best in driving dynamics and efficiency. A particular highlight in this case is the two-mass flywheel laid out particularly for an even higher level of power and performance, offering even greater strength and stability and naturally handling high engine torque of up to 500 Newton-metres or 369 lb-ft without the slightest problem.BMW Z4 2011

The control map on the seven-speed Sport Automatic transmission with double clutch has naturally been tailored to the particular power and performance of the engine, thus further enhancing the superior sportiness of the BMW Z4 sDrive35is to an even higher level. Particularly when shifting gears manually and in conjunction with the SPORT and SPORT+ modes of Dynamic Driving Control, the transmission offers a most dynamic experience through modified gearshift points, optimised selection of gears and an even greater increase in torque before shifting.Pricing has not yet been shared, but we expect a base price similar to that of a fully decked-out sDrive35i—about $60K. BMW Z4 2011Options should push the price north of $70K. Sales will begin in the spring of 2010. BMW announced that the Z4 will get a facelift by 2012. The details have not yet been disclosed but the roadster will definitely have a new powerplant to add some oomph into its performance. In the US, the BMW Z4 comes in three versions: Z4 sDriveis, Z4 sDrive35i, and Z4 sDrive30i. The sDriver30i depends on a 3.0L inline 6-cylinder powerplant that gives out 255 horsepower. In case that’s not fast enough for you, the Z4 sDrive35is offers a turbocharged, 3.0-liter inline-six good for 335 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque, and comes mated only to a DCT gearbox.

But for 2012, it's being replaced, in naturally aspirated guise, with a turbocharged four-cylinder.How can a tiny 2.0-liter turbo be anywhere near as much fun as a 3.0-liter inline six--especially in a luxury sport roadster? The answer comes, as it usually does with BMW, in the engineering.will start on the first quarter of 2012. The current model has a sticker price of $46,500 for the entry level Z4 and we can expect the 4-cylinder BMW Z4 next year to have a cheaper tag price.

The entry level version will be powered by a new turbocharged four-cylinder powerplant, but the output will remain at 255hp. The Z4 sDrive35i, however, will remain unchanged. It will carry the same 3.0-liter, inline 6-cylinder engine that delivers 300 HP. The bad news is that the top speed will still be limited to 155 mph. We've been BMW fans from way, way before we were writing this weblog, and we're openly supporting Motors.co.uk - the best car-site in the UK, and the site where I found my first BMW 320d back in 2001.The 2012 BMW Z4 is expected to debut by late 2011, with sales beginning in early 2012.

We don’t know about anyone else, but BMW may have to do a little more with the 2012 Z4 to even stand a chance at competing with its rivals. With all of the new models surfacing, the Z4 may need a swift kick in the bumper to get up to speed. All of that torque means that even though the four-cylinder turbo serves up about 15 fewer peak horsepower, there's more area under the curve, which translates to more power at any given engine speed except for the last 1,000 rpm or so--and that equates to improved acceleration in gear, quicker 0-60 mph times, and a driving experience that will have even the most die-hard of N52 fans admitting there's no reason for mourning. Cruising along in sixth gear in the 28i, you'll regularly see figures well above 30 mpg, with the highway average north of that mark as well. Even more spirited driving, rowing through the gears, sees fuel economy in the low 20s, perhaps--perhaps--dipping into the upper teens if you're truly flogging it. While those numbers might not sound impressive in an age of hybrid-assist-extended-range-unicorns-and-flowers cars.

Some interesting detail regarding the size of the car:
Width: 1789 mm
Height: 1535 mm
Length: 4457 mm
Most of the BMW fans will like the simple design from the back of the car, I know I do. This gives the viewer the feeling that the X1 is a really big car. Still, it’s dimesions aren’t that amazing. There are good looking cars and then, I’m afraid there are some bad looking cars.Bmw X1 The Ssangyong Stavic for example; words cannot express the atrocity of it. The front has a unique luxurious car design even though the price is estimated to be situated at around $35,000.On the other hand though the Volkswagen Scirrocco, here is car that constantly asks you to look a little further, explore a little more of the its voluptuous curves and creases. It’s a beautiful car, but sadly beautiful cars are few and far between for us mere mortals. Expensive exotica on the other hand, well that’s a different tale all together.Bmw X1

The BMW X6, now there’s a car that will split opinion like no other. It’s labelled a SAC (Sports Activity Coupe) and I can decipher what that means, well good luck. You either love it or hate it, and personally I love it. The X5 on the other hand, well that’s pretty inoffensive and it has to be. Bmw X1The X5 was BMW first SUV and it introduced the world to the idea of a premium quality, high riding Sports Utility Vehicle. The German Luxuries car maker BMW has recently launched model BMW X1 in Indian market, it is the cheapest and smallest SUV from BMW wing in domestic market and globally as well. The car is based on the on the 3-series platform, it is a SUV which is priced at 22 lakh to 30 lakh in home market. Recently BMW took the covers off the its baby in the X range, the X1. To say it’s based on the 1 Series would be half correct, in that like the 1 series it is the entry level model in the X range.Bmw X1

it’s actually built on the BMW’s 3 Series Touring platform. Bmw X1When viewed in profile, the 1 Series’ cab backwards design can be seen, and there’s a mish-mash of X3 and X5 DNA thrown in for good measure. Its best angle has to be its rear, when viewed square on. Bmw X1I sat next to one in the traffic the other day and to be honest I felt a little nauseous when it pulled up alongside me. It is an awkward shape, and while it’s neither imposing like an X6 nor inoffensive like an X5, it will undoubtedly turn heads.BMW X1 has got lofty ground clearance of 2760mm which provides bigger shape for the car. It looks like sedan from backside but has big slop, the back light is separated in two part; it sits on side and at hatch. Bmw X1
BMW X1 Interior- The outer part and inner part of this car will be the best example for beauty, the moment you see the car you will say ‘Wow’.Bmw X1 Compare to its earlier products in domestic BMW X1 has some big differences; the company has missed out bells and whistles which include sunroof and CD-changer.  The Metro version of the BMW X1 comes with different upholstery- The high-end diesel variant will get brown and black leather upholstery while the petrol and the other diesel variant will come in beige or black upholstery. The quality seats are manually adjustable where height, for and positioning behind will gives much relief. Bmw X1 Face seat belts are inactive reel with pyrotechnical belt inputs tensioner and belt force limiter while the rear seat belts are three with inertia reel.  Ergonomic design needs no lengthy explanation; it's something you sense immediately. That's why everything in the cabin of the BMW X1 is geared towards one simple goal: intuitive operation with the maximum feel-good factor. The entire cockpit is oriented towards the driver and, thanks to its clear lines, guides the eyes to the road ahead. The raised seating position provides an excellent vantage point to take in all the views, including that of the interior. High-end materials.Bmw X1

The steering wheel is tied with good leather which gives you a better grip. The face cubicle is roomy which gives enough head, leg, shoulder and hip space. The back seats will not fit for fatty people; it’s too small to adjust 3 passengers. The car comes with front and back electric windows with open and close options, the windows are loaded with heat and shaded all round.Bmw X1 It has sufficient storage place to carry your treasures with excelling lighting options like ambient lighting, illuminated glove compartment, Illumination for vanity mirrors, illuminated luggage front foot well lights, courtesy lights front and rear  compartment, , front and rear reading lights with velour floor mats. Compare to its earlier version of BMW X1 will not meet its standards, customers feel like it’s an ordinary car. The trend amongst buyers to trade down from their full-blown SUV’s into smaller quasi-crossover-soft-roaders, due to a global I-feel-bad-about-the-environment consciousness, means the X1 will find favour across a wide variety of clientele. So far the pre-order bookings have reached 200 plus units in Delhi/NCR region and 300 plus order from Mumbai.Bmw X1

BMW is an expert at filling niches that buyers probably never even thought existed. Witness vehicles such as the 5-series Gran Turismo, the upcoming Mini SUV, and the smallest member of the X family, the X1. It's been a decade since BMW entered the SUV/crossover market with its X5, creating its own niche with what it describes as the 'Sports Activity Vehicle'. In that time, the X Series family has become a major part of BMW's line - these vehicles now account for a fifth of all BMW sales.BMW Canada is pleased to confirm that the BMW X1 will go on sale in Canada in calendar year 2011. The X1 has been conceived with the flexibility to offer traditional rear-wheel drive and xDrive all-wheel drive configurations, as well as a wide variety of gasoline and diesel powertrain choices. In light of rapidly evolving North American market demands, fuel prices, and regulatory standards. This new BMW baby ute is 175.4 inches long, 70.8 inches wide, and 60.8 inches high.Bmw x1 2011

This however won’t bother the average X1. Price will though, seeing that BMW hope to woo first time buyers into the BMW fold. Don’t be fooled by the X1’s entry level pretensions, you will still pay a premium for the privilege of having that blue and white propeller on the bonnet. There’s a range of petrol and diesel engines available in manual or automatic transmissions, and in different trim levels from standard spec to the exclusive trim. This new BMW baby ute is 175.4 inches long, 70.8 inches wide, and 60.8 inches high. That makes it 2.8 inches shorter than a 3-series wagon and 4.5 inches shorter than an X3. The range grew to include the compact X3 in 2004, followed by the seven-seat capable X5 in 2006, and the segment-bending X6 crossover coupe last year. The BMW X1 will debut in Europe this fall with a choice of four engines - one gasoline and three diesels - and will be available in rear-wheel drive and xDrive all-wheel drive configurations. The X1 will set new benchmarks in the premium compact segment for efficiency, comfort, utility, and of course driving dynamics.Bmw x1 2011

Munich • The new BMW X1 will become the fourth model in the Bavarian automaker’s lineup of X vehicles when it goes on sale in Canada in May as a 2012 model for a base price of $38,500.  That's not bad for a smaller, less-powerful engine, at least from a pure horsepower perspective. BMW's new turbo 2.0 puts out 241 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The virtue of the trade-off in horsepower and torque comes in the delivery. The flip side of the powertrain’s personality is unusual to say the least. Drive it as though there’s an egg between your right foot and the gas pedal and it slips into its economy mode, with the engine barely pushing the tachometer needle over 1,400 rpm. Even at elevated highway speeds, the four still loafs along at surprisingly low revs. This, perhaps, explains the test average fuel economy of 9.7 litres per 100 kilometres — and it certainly was not being driven with an eye to economy.BMW XI 2012
