The special model will make its world debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show. The Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse is an extreme model inspired by the LP 570-4 Super Trofeo single-series racecar. Both cars are based on the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera.
The pricing puts the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse among such rare automobiles as the 2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT coupe. The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT coupe starts at $200,405.
The “market color” for the special Gallardo in the U.S. will be limited to “Giallo Midas,” a yellow shade. The street-legal Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse shares components with the Super Trofeo, including the 570-horsepower V10, carbon-fiber rear wing and removable engine hood. The engine is linked to a standard automated-manual e-gear six-speed transmission shifted via steering-wheel paddles.
