The Ford F-150 is available in no fewer than nine trim levels. For thrifty readers, consider that a comparable F-150 XL with the SuperCrew cab, EcoBoost engine and six-speed auto, four-wheel drive, and 5.5-foot bed starts at a low $37,425.

All engines are paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and either two- or four-wheel drive. Test drivers like the diversity of the drivetrain options, saying that the base engine provides more than adequate power for light work, while the V8s and EcoBoost V6 have muscle for serious hauling and towing. The Fiesta ST is better. It’s cheaper, it’s only marginally smaller and it’s somehow more fun to drive. We had a minor panic trying to remove a backpack at school drop off when the trunk would not release.The Ford Focus is the sweetest-handling car in its class. It’s also refined, safe and has competitive CO2 emissions.speeds—and there's a Sport mode or you can control shifts on your own with a little +/- button on the side of the shift knob. The Focus handles as well as—or better than—the most deft handler in the class, the Mazda 3, with a suspension that doesn't crash and bang over rough transitions. Purchased my 2013 SEL in August of 2012, sorry to say I didn't do my homework and now regret it. Gas Mileage is not so great- at the most 23.8 combined even lower in the winter months. And yes I often receive the ecoboost award!! so my driving is good!!
